Sage Advice From Dolly Parton

Lots of artists today say… “Dolly was their inspiration”.   In the biz since 1967 and has never sacrificed her standards.

Dolly has some “sage advice” for the newbies coming into the music business.

“You know that old saying of ‘to thine old self be true’–there’s so much to that… You got to know who you are, you got to know your own strengths, and your own talent, you gotta be willing to stand up for what you believe, and not sacrifice your principles and values, you know, just to get ahead. So, you just need to keep your mind on your business and be true to yourself.”

George Jones gave Mark Chesnutt the same advice.

Dolly released her 43rd album… “Pure and Simple” this past Friday.

Did you know Dolly’s father paid the doctor who delivered her with a bag of oatmeal?

Dolly will be coming to see us at BB&T Center in November too.   : )   Just love Dolly!    Thought i’d just add my favorite Dolly song in … “Coat of Many Colors”.   – Darlene Evans
