George Strait was chit chattin’ with the Houston Chronicle and told them….
“I don’t see a lot of my influence out there in country music today, out there being played on the radio. The country music scene is always changing and the music is always changing. I’ve seen the pendulum swing this way and back this way. It’s very country and then not so country.”.
Lots of artists say he was their influence.
Course… George isn’t doing major tours any more but he will have some new music out for us November 18th. It will be his 2nd box set of greatest hits with some new songs on it. George will do some shows next year at the T-Mobile Arena in Vegas next year.
Looks like George is getting into the liquor biz too. He has invested in Codigo 1530… which is a premium brand of tequila. Wow… just think of all the artists that are in the liquor biz too. Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney, Jake Owen, Blake Shelton and Florida Georgia Line too.
Betcha country music starts swayin’ back to a more traditional sound for a while or MAYBE…we will “Get into Reggae Cowboy.” : ) – Darlene Evans
