Last year he surprised his fans with a copy of his album “Misunderstood” that was delivered to their homes. Sweetheart! Right? No photo shoots or promotion.
Now… Eric Church will release “Mr. Misunderstood on the Rocks Live & (Mostly) Unplugged” on the 1 year anniversary of the album. It was recorded this past summer at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado.
The “live” album will have 7 songs on it.
Mistress Named Music… Chattanooga Lucy…Mixed Drinks About Feelings… Knives of New Orleans…Kill a Word…Record Year and his cover of Hallelujah .
We will be able to buy Mr. Misunderstood on the Rocks Live & (Mostly) Unplugged November 4th…exclusively at Walmart.
Eric starts touring in January. No opening act.
He told “The Boot”…
“It’s going to be a three-hour show. And the only way to do that was to go by ourselves. Otherwise, it just doesn’t work time-wise. It doesn’t work with the load-in, the load-out,” “It gives us two chances as an opener, two chances at closing the show. And it gives us a wide chance to do things, like possibly keep it thematic, where the first set is [songs from] Sinners Like Me through Carolina, and then we come out and run Chief through Mr. Misunderstood. Stuff like that.
