For the first time in its history, Glamour has selected a man as one of the magazine’s Women of the Year. Yes a man, a famous man named Bono.
The U2 frontman was named a Woman of the Year alongside actual women like Gwen Stefani, Simone Biles, Ashley Graham and Zendaya just to name a few.
If you are a little confused here is why they say they picked Bono. The well known rocker was picked for the honor in large part because of his charity ONE, which recently launched a campaign called “Poverty Is Sexist” in an attempt to help impoverished women around the world.
So his work for women played a key role in recognizing him as one of the Women of the Year.
