Two bald eagles were rescued on Thursday from a storm drain in Orlando.
According to CBS 4, the two birds were found with their wings spread stuck in a storm drain, with one on top of the other. Dianna Flynt, with the Audubon Center for Birds of Prey said they probably got “into a territory fight” where they lock themselves together and they then all while holding on to each other for dear life.
One of the eagles did manage to fly away while a rescue team freed the second eagle and it was taken in by specialists after it suffered several injuries. Officials say it will take a few weeks before the eagle makes a full recovery and is released into the wild.
