Huizenga Plaza is going to the dogs Saturday, February 28th.

It’s the 25th annual Walk for the Animals.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the Walk starts at 10 a.m. Organizers expect as many as 4,000 people and their dogs to enter the 1.25-mile walk, a fundraiser for the Humane Society of Broward County.

KISS Country’s U-Turn Laverne will be there.

Why not join her and also enjoy the free pancake breakfast and treats for your furry friends.

The walk winds through downtown Fort Lauderdale and along the New River. With a live band, strolling performers, a dog agility performance area and more, the Walk is entertaining for all.

Last year, the walk raised more than $524,000 to help the animals cared for by the Humane Society of Broward County.
